About the qualification
Our CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support reflects the role of workers in community settings and clients’ homes, who provide training and support to empower people with disabilities to achieve greater levels of independence, self-reliance, community participation and wellbeing. This course promotes the person-centred approach, with workers operating autonomously and should have the capability to supervise a small team.
Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, students should be able to:
identify safe work practices for client care
facilitate the rights, interests and empowerment of people with disabilities
provide person-centred services to people with disabilities with complex needs.

Please note: This course provides skills and knowledge to the industry standard, but does not guarantee a job.
This qualification can be completed up to thirty-six months, dependent on the student's experience, Credit Transfer (CT) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Apply for CT or RPL during enrolment.
This course may be delivered through face-to-face, online, or work-based training. We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:
observation in a simulated workplace.
Units of Competency

Facilitate community participation and social inclusion (C)
Facilitate ongoing skills development using a person-centred approach (C)
Provide person-centred services to people with disability with complex needs (C)
Manage legal and ethical compliance (C)
Work with people with mental health issues (C)
Maintain work health and safety (C)
Facilitate the interests and rights of clients (E)
Facilitate individual service planning and delivery (E)

completion of the LLN assessment.
Students will require access to appropriate technology and internet if the materials are delivered online.
Prerequisites: Prior to enrolment, students must have successfully completed one of the following qualifications:
CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability)
CHC30408 Certificate III in Disability and CHCSS00125 Entry to Certificate IV in Disability Support Skill Set.
This nationally recognised qualification is delivered and assessed by Work Savvy Pty Ltd, RTO ID 91778, ABN 20 132 057 384. This training will deliver skills and knowledge to the industry standard but does not guarantee a job. We tailor training for people from diverse backgrounds, including those with a disability.
This course is available on a fee-for-service basis at $8,000 per student. Should you require an RPL assessment, please contact us for fees and arrangements.
