Our very popular CHC30121 – Certificate III in Childhood Education and Care qualification reflects the role of educators in early childhood education and care who work in regulated children’s education and care services in Australia. They support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework. Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate improved workplace communication skills and working in a team;

  • Identify safe work practices and implement approved learning frameworks; and

  • Understand health, care and development of babies, toddlers and children.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Successful completion of the CHC30121 – Certificate in III Early Childhood Education and Care, may lead to employment opportunities, such as:

  • Early Childhood Teacher;

  • Family Day Care Educator; or

  • Child Care Attendant.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, prior to

enrolment students are required to provide their Working with Children's Check clearance number, National Police Check clearance certificate; Unique Student Identifier and photo identification. Prospective students may be required to complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment. All requirements are subject to change at any time as per amendments to the Public Health Orders.

HOW DO I CREATE MY USI?

ASSESSMENT

We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:

  • Short answers;

  • Projects;

  • Activities; and

  • Workplace Observation or Observation in a Simulated Workplace.

WORK PLACEMENT

Students must complete a total of at least 160 hours of work in a regulated children’s education and care service in Australia. Learners will receive information regarding work-placement arrangements before they enrol.

DURATION AND MODE

Duration:

This qualification can be completed in twelve months. The volume of learning offered by Work Savvy Training may vary per student depending on their existing skills and knowledge. More experienced students are likely to complete the course in a shorter period of time. The duration may vary depending on Credit Transfer [CT] or Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL]. Students can apply for CT or RPL at the time of enrolment

 

Delivery:

Delivery of training may take differing forms, including Face-to-Face, Online, Work-based, Blended and Traineeships, dependent on the requirements of the Client or the needs of the cohort.

NSW FEES

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

  • Exemption: $0

  • Concession: $240

  • First Qualification: $1,600

  • Second Qualification: $1,930

  • Traineeship: $0

FEE FOR SERVICE

If you are ineligible for government subsidised training, or would rather undertake this course on a fee-for-service (FFS) basis, the cost to undertake this nationally recognised qualification is:

  • $4,500

  • Work Savvy does not accept upfront payments of more than $1,500. If a student’s fee is more than this amount, the support of a flexible payment plan will be offered to students.

  • Replacement of Testamur/ statement of attainment / Qualification Certificate $50
