in Employment Services

Our Certificate IV in Employment Services reflects the role of individuals who provide employment services to both job seekers and employers. They use specialised knowledge to support individual job seekers in locating, securing and maintaining employment, and to assist employers in meeting their recruitment needs. No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. Upon successfully completing this nationally recognised qualification, you will be able to:

  • Use targeted communication skills to build relationships.

  • Work effectively in employment services.

  • Collect, analyse and apply labour market information Monitor and improve contracted employment services.

  • Work effectively with culturally diverse clients and co-workers.

  • Build client relationships and business networks.

  • Maintain an effective work environment.

CAREER PROSPECTS

Successful completion of this qualification may lead to employment opportunities, including:

  • Employment Consultant

  • Training & Placement Officer

  • Job Search Training Consultant.

ASSESSMENT

We use a range of assessment methods for this qualification, including:

  • Short answers;

  • Projects;

  • Activities; and

  • Workplace Observation or Observation in a Simulated Workplace.

WORK PLACEMENT

This training includes a mandatory minimum of 76 hours of industry/work placement. National Police Checks are required prior to commencing work placement. 

 

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, prior to

enrolment students are required to provide their Working with Children's Check clearance number, National Police Check clearance certificate; Unique Student Identifier and photo identification. Prospective students may be required to complete a language, literacy and numeracy assessment.

DURATION AND MODE

Duration:

This qualification can be completed in twelve months. The volume of learning offered by Work Savvy Training may vary per student depending on their existing skills and knowledge. More experienced students are likely to complete the course in a shorter period of time. The duration may vary depending on Credit Transfer [CT] or Recognition of Prior Learning [RPL]. Students can apply for CT or RPL at the time of enrolment

 

Delivery:

Delivery of training may take differing forms, including Face-to-Face, Online, Work-based, Blended and Traineeships, dependent on the requirements of the Client or the needs of the cohort.

  • CHCCCS006 – Facilitate individual service planning and delivery (E)

  • CHCDIS007 – Facilitate the empowerment of people with a disability (E)

  • CHCECD009 – Conduct career guidance interviews (E)

  • CHCMHS001 – Work with people with mental health issues (E)

NSW FEES

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

  • Exemption: $0

  • Concession: $240

FEE FOR SERVICE

This course is offered on a fee-for-service (FFS) basis, the cost to undertake this nationally recognised qualification is:

  • $4,500

  • Work Savvy does not accept upfront payments of more than $1,500. If a student’s fee is more than this amount, the support of a flexible payment plan will be offered to students.

ADDITIONAL FEES

  • Replacement of Testamur/ statement of attainment / Qualification Certificate $50
